Testimonies
The importance of and conviction for sharing them
My journey of living courageous faith is about being more vocal in, for and with my faith in Jesus.
It is my heart’s desire to share Jesus and His love with others in any way that I possibly can.
While reading this week’s Scripture, God convicted me through a well-known story in the Bible.
The realization of this conviction has caused me to pause a bit.
I’m taking time to let the importance of sharing my testimony dive deep into my soul.
As well as prayerfully considering the where and when to share it.
Scripture:
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
And many more believed because of his own word;
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
John 4:39-42
Observation:
The woman knew Jesus was the Messiah because of her personal experience with Him. She wasn’t ashamed to share that He knew her flawed past when she told the city of the testimony of her encounter with Jesus. She was living and sharing through courageous faith to an entire city of Samaritans - people hated by Jews and she was pointing to one saying that He was the Messiah! God chose to use a woman with a flawed past - especially in that day and age - to reach an entire city. He moved on her to be courageous in sharing her experience. She had no way of knowing how the people would respond. Still, she shared because she KNEW that Jesus was the Messiah.
Application:
Why is it so difficult for us to share Him that which we also know, is the Messiah, with even one person? Most of us haven’t and won’t be called to impact an entire city with our experience with Jesus, but are we ready, willing, able and courageous enough to do so even with just one? It isn’t always our words that cause people to believe in Jesus. However, our testimonies can be used to draw them near to Him. Then, through the Holy Spirit’s work and His words, they may come to believe in Christ.
Kneeling:
Lord, show me how I can and am to share my testimony courageously - whether in a small way or in a larger setting. Give me both direction and the words to share so that they point only to You. I desire to be a tool in Your hands to bring others to know that You are the Christ.

Such a beautiful reminder to stop for the one. ❤️ We may never know, on this side of Heaven, just how far-reaching our impact will be.
Beautiful, bestie! ♥️
